Draughtsman, painter, cartoonist and filmmaker, Théophile Bouchet Galliano lives and works in Paris. The spectrum of his fields of investigation and creation is relatively broad but always remains in focus on the apparent plastic heterogeneity of his research; the metaphysical questions of what makes a human being, its humanity and its history, as well as the environment he is evolving in.

The drawings presented in the gallery are part of a set that works as a historical series (HISTORICAL HEBDOS). For two years Théophile Bouchet Galliano worked in collaboration with Serge Plantureux, an art dealer with an expert eye for antique photographs. Théophile Bouchet Galliano endeavoured to produce a weekly drawing on a historical subject related either to a series of photographs or to graphic sets such as old published images or old drawings discovered by this researcher's expertise and investigation cabinet.
